What an enchanting evening we had at the Bohemian National Hall! As part of the Year of Czech Music 2024, we were treated to an incredible concert by the harpist Kateřina Englichová and the masterful oboe player Vilém Veverka. From the captivating melodies of Maurice Ravel and Leonard Bernstein to the intricate compositions of Josef Vejvoda, Petr Wajsar, and other remarkable composers, each piece was a journey through the rich tapestry of music. The audience could also enjoy a variation of Bedřich Smetana's My Country most famous piece – The Moldau – for solo harp. The concert was introduced by professor Michael Beckerman, and a new CD of Kateřina Englichová was launched.
