Czech Centers is a public diplomacy organization established by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic.
Its mission is to promote Czechia internationally and strengthen cultural relations between countries. Czech Centers presents the country across a wide range of cultural and social fields, from the arts and creative industries to Czech achievements in science and innovation. It also supports Czech language education abroad, participates in international projects, and provides a platform for cross-cultural dialogue.
Czech Centers is a member of EUNIC, the European Union National Institutes for Culture.
The network of Czech Centers currently comprises 26 branches on four continents.
The mission of Czech Center New York (CCNY) is to promote Czechia in the United States by presenting the country’s rich culture, innovation, and creativity.
CCNY offers a diverse program spanning visual arts, film, literature, music, architecture, design, fashion, science, and social innovation. In addition to producing its own events, CCNY supports organizations developing intercultural initiatives that connect Czech and American partners.
Through curatorial visits, media tours, artist residencies, and other professional exchanges, CCNY strengthens cultural ties between Czechia and the United States. These initiatives foster dialogue among artists, academics, scientists, and cultural professionals from both countries. CCNY also promotes the Czech language through a broad range of language courses.
CCNY is part of Czech Centers, an organization of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic and an important instrument of Czech public diplomacy. It is also a member of EUNIC, the European Union National Institutes for Culture.
