From the bottom of my heart, I would like to thank the team at the Czech Center New York for their incredible support and hospitality during the Kantiléna concert, the children's and youth choir of the Brno Philharmonic in New York. It was an honor for us to present Czech musical culture in this significant venue and share it with the Czech-American audience. The atmosphere in the hall was exceptionally strong and moving, and the ovations and enthusiasm from the audience meant a tremendous reward for us. Your kindness, professionalism, willingness, humanity, and organizational skills created the conditions that allowed us to fully enjoy every moment on stage. We greatly appreciate this opportunity and firmly believe that our paths will cross again in the future.

A reading from the book "Everything Indicates," which is a collection of English translations of my poems, took place at the Czech Center in New York on March 20. It was the moment of the equinox, when day and night, light and darkness share an equal part in the world. It was a moment of focused attention, and the Czech Center was able to become a receptive place for such an occasion.

In October of last year, I presented the American translation of my book Life After Kafka in New York. First at the Czech Center on East 73rd Street and then as part of the European Literature Night festival at the Ukrainian Institute. Both events were truly successful and were among the highlights of my trip to the USA. It wasn't just because I have many friends in New York and feel at home there, but also because of the staff at the Czech Center, whose professionalism and friendliness pleasantly surprised me. It was a joy to work with them.

Reciting May, the powerful and beautiful poem by Karel Hynek Mácha, with the Czech Philharmonic quartet was a unique opportunity to bring it closer to the New York audience. At the same time, it was a significant challenge that required careful preparation in Prague and at BNH. Thanks to the support of the Czech Center New York, we were able to resolve all technical issues, and the entire team was extremely helpful. Through our joint efforts, the evening, attended personally by President Petr Pavel, took place at an appropriate level. Thank you all!

A huge thank you to the team at the Czech Center New York for their incredible support during our performance - the entire team exceeded our expectations. Director Tereza and her team even managed to get our robot Josef across the ocean, which must have been quite a challenge since Josef is really a massive system with quite fragile components. We were delighted with the warm reception from the audience at the nearly sold-out Bohemian National Hall - it's clear that people really appreciate what the Czech Center in NYC is doing.

It was an honor for us to participate in the program commemorating the 80th anniversary of the Lidice tragedy, while also having our own recital of Czech music. For us as a Czech-American duo, it is important that the Czech Center New York reaches out to listeners and visitors from various backgrounds. Štěpán Filípek composed a piece titled "Lidice Women" specifically for this occasion.

Reading in such a beautiful environment and being able to rely on such an experienced and helpful team of people who organized the reading at the Czech Center was a joy. In the fall of 2023, I came to New York to present translations of my novels and participate in the European Literature Night alongside other authors. Meeting local readers was an extraordinarily valuable and delightful experience for me, and in the case of ELN, I must admire the coordination of such a challenging project, which was fantastic, and both the authors and listeners visibly enjoyed the evening. I would like to thank the entire team at the Czech Center New York many times for their kind care and comprehensive support!

Thanks to our collaboration with the Czech Center in New York on the exhibition Famous Czech Composers, we had the opportunity to present not only Czech composers but also the activities of the National Museum – Czech Museum of Music. The accompanying program enriched the exhibition and simultaneously showcased our work in the research and care of the collections of Czech world composers to an international audience.
