Czech Center New York offered a very rich program during its this year's Summer Rooftop Movies film series on the roof-terrace of Bohemian National Hall. Czech famous musicals were screened and the screenings were accompanied by programs with Czech artists: music of music producer Never Sol, interactive workshop with Kateřina Šedá, who does projects in the field of social architecture, multimedia artist Pavel Liška showed his experimental program Inspired by New York City – Colors of New York, painter Filip Švehla or performance of David Helan. The series also included film screenings of Karel Zeman and discussions with his daughter Ludmila Zemanová and his grand-daughter Linda Zeman Spaleny. Opening remarks to all films were provided by Michal Bregant, CEO of the National Film Archive, Prague and president of the European Association of Film Archives. The Summer Rooftop Movie Series wass organized in collaboration with Bohemian Benevolent and Literary Association (BBLA), and supported by Jelínek International and Spěvák Winery.
