Summer Rooftop Movies: Rebels

The third film of this year's traditional Summer Rooftop Movies, organized by the Czech Center New York on the roof terrace of the Bohemian National Hall, will be screened to commemorate the 55th anniversary of the invasion of Czechoslovakia by the armies of the Warsaw Pact.

You can buy tickets here. Due to the rainy weather, the event will take place in the cinema of the BNH.

The Summer Rooftop Movie Series is organized in collaboration with Bohemian Benevolent and Literary Association (BBLA).

Film screening starts at 8 pm.

There will be wine tasting provided by Spěvák Winery before the screening.

Rebels

Czech Republic, 2001. Musical. Directed by Filip Renč. Runtime: 110 min

In Czech with English subtitles.

This retro-film with songs is located in a Czech border area in the year 1968 and as a result, the story of first love is affected by the political reality of the invasion of Soviet troops to Czechoslovakia.
