The third screening within the traditional Summer Rooftop Movies on the roof terrace of the Bohemian National Hall. Czech Center New York presents another classical animated puppet film made by renowned motion-picture animator and film director Jiří Trnka.

The Summer Rooftop Movie Series is organized in collaboration with Bohemian Benevolent and Literary Association (BBLA).
Film screening starts at 8 PM. In Czech with English subtitles.
The bar will open at 7 PM. Refreshments from the Bohemian Spirit Restaurant will be available for cash only.

The puppet film presents in five parts the traditions typical for a Czech village during the four seasons.
The Czech Year, also called A Treasury of Fairy-Tales, is a stop-motion-animated puppet feature film. It was the first feature film directed by Jiří Trnka. It won several international awards and made his name famous in the animation world.
