The Mannes School of Music celebrated the musical legacy of Bedřich Smetana and his successors, Antonín Dvořák and Leoš Janáček with a beautiful concert showcasing their best young performers.
The 2024–2025 Mannes Sounds Festival celebrates the musical legacy of Bedřich Smetana and his successors, Antonín Dvořák and Leoš Janáček. Students performed operatic arias and scenes, folk songs, and chamber works from iconic masterpieces like The Bartered Brideand Rusalka, alongside lesser-known gems of equal beauty. The festival was founded by Pavlína Dokovská in 1999 and this year's program was curated and directed by William Gustafson.
