This year's Collectible showcase in New York will feature Czech multidisciplinary artist and designer Elis Monsport and her three unique objects. Each object represents Monsport's unique approach to creation and materials united by a theme of summer: its wonderous rays and shadows.
Elis Monsport is a multidisciplinary artist and designer who specializes in glass engraving. Her work brings nature to life, transforming it into unique objects that speak through their stories and artistic craftsmanship. Elis focuses on custom creations and collaborations with brands, producing both design pieces and large-scale engravings that can become integral parts of interior spaces.
At Collectible New York, she is showcasing three unique objects, each with a different approach to materials and creation, but all connected by memories of summer and shadows. Her work is characterized by a specific style, often involving mirrors and large-scale wall engravings that other artists do not undertake.
Mirror / Summer swim
The mirror wall object made of slumped glass reflects the glitter of the summer sun on the surface of the water and the memory of summer swimming. The object is composed of three original pieces. Each of them has a different surface, together they create a perfect synergy.
Fine art / Garden rose
Free-standing sculpture made of fused glass and concrete captures the transience of the climbing rose and its intoxicating fragrance. A small statue, concrete and blood red glass.
Applied art/ Artisanal coffee table
Artisanal coffee table with an engraved plate is a memory of summer days spent in the shelter of trees, gardens and their shadow figures formed by the hot sun. The table is composed of a massive base made from blown glass, and the upper part of the glass plate, which is engraved.
Eliška Monsportová, the founder of the Elis Monsport brand, was born in 1996 and studied glass art at UMPRUM under the guidance of Rony Plesl, drawing inspiration from nature and its authenticity.
