The Czech Center New York launched the exhibition "Escape from Reality: Art Brut from Czechia". Opening remarks were presented by Miroslav Konvalina, director of the Czech Center New York, the curators of the exhibition, Terezie Zemánková and Natálie Drtinová from ABCD Association, and the President of the Senate of the Czech Republic Miloš Vystrčil. The event was attended by the illustrator Petr Sís, opera singer Adam Plachetka, and President of the National Czech & Slovak Museum & Library in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Cecilia Rokusek. The evening also featured a performance of Czech swing singer Jan Smigmator.
