The Rehearsal for Truth Theater Festival will also take place this year. Its aim is to address current sociopolitical trends in Central Europe, offering New York audiences a unique opportunity to witness the region’s theatrical zeitgeist.
The festival will take place in Bohemian National Hall, June 2-14, 2023.
Various performances will be presented, eg. Bowie in Warsaw, The Library of Stolen Hopes, The Steiner Bookstore, Cabaret in Captivity or Olga or Horrors from the Havel Cottage.

Rehearsal for Truth Theater Festival is a showcase of contemporary European theater organized each year in New York City. Conceived in 2017 as a shared endeavor of the Vaclav Havel Library Foundation (VHLF) and Bohemian Benevolent and Literary Association (BBLA), the festival honors the legacy of Czech playwright, dissident and political thinker Václav Havel.
Each edition of Rehearsal for Truth Theater Festival addresses current sociopolitical trends in Central Europe, offering New York audiences a unique opportunity to witness the region’s theatrical zeitgeist.
