Peter Grimes: Adam Plachetka again in Metropolitan opera

Czech opera singer Adam Plachetka is performing again in Metropolitan opera in New York. This time in Peter Grimes, opera by British composer Benjamin Britten.

Prague-born bass-baritone Adam Plachetka returns for the fall season to The Metropolitan Opera, this time starring in Peter Grimes by Benjamin Britten.

Adam appears regularly at the Meropolitan Opera, New York, in the works of Mozart and Donizetti (Don Giovanni, L’elisir d’amore, Le nozze di Figaro, Così fan tutte) and at the Salzburger Festspiele (Benvenuto Cellini, Rusalka, Don Giovanni, Le nozze di Figaro, Die Zauberflöte). Last spring he was starring in  G. F. Handel’s grand baroque drama Rodelinda as the sinister Garibaldo.
