Czech schools welcome their students and teachers again

A number of Czech and Slovak weekend schools in the United States opened their classes again. Thanks to many volunteers, teachers and parents, hundreds of Czech and Slovak children from overseas can keep learning their mother tongue. Miroslav Konvalina, the director of the Czech Center New York, visited the Czech and Slovak school in Pittsburgh after being invited by its director, Ms Jitka Benediktová. Three classes were attended by two dozens of children, the very young ones as well teenagers, on the first day of school. Miroslav Konvalina welcomed them all and shared some facts from history, culture and sport with them. In NYC, where the schools have their headquarters, are being supported by Czech diplomats.
