Take a look at the photographs from the Velvet Meetup, celebration of the 32nd anniversary of the Velvet Revolution. Many visitors came to remember the key events of November 1989. The event took place in the gallery of the Czech Center New York featuring Peter Sís' exhibition The Wall: How I Grew Up Behind the Iron Curtain. There were pictures of Czech photographers to be seen, depicting the days of the Velvet Revolution and selected by Dana Kindrová. There was also a film screening of the film Tender Waves and a music performance of singer Klára Zíková. The Boheamian National Hall building was lit by the Czech national colors within the campaign Thank you that we can (Díky, že můžem). The event was organized by Czech Center New York in colaboration with Consulate General of the Czech Republic in New York.
