ONLINE CZECH LANGUAGE LECTURE: Czech Siberia and the Moravian Klondike

We cordially invite you to watch an online lecture on Czech language by Mgr. Martin Beneš, Ph.D. from the Institute for the Czech Language of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic with the title Czech Siberia and the Moravian Klondike: A combination of the Czech and Moravian with a foreign geographical name. The lecture will be broadcast on the occasion of the European Day of Languages in the Czech Language via the Zoom platform on Thursday, September 23rd, 2021 at 6:00PM (CET).

Mgr. Martin Beneš, Ph.D. works at the Department of Language Culture of the Institute for the Czech Language of the AV ČR and is the editor-in-chief of the magazine Naše řeč. He deals mainly with broadly defined issues of language norms (norms in language), theoretical and practical issues of (Czech) spelling and approaches to language. In addition to a number of professional studies, he is also the author of the book Introduction to the Theory of Linguistic Correctness (2019).
