Czech Center New York broadcast to North America a large Easter concert featuring the dulcimer band Harafica and a symphony orchestra: the Janáček Philharmonic Orchestra of Ostrava. Together they performed the first live online concert of their joint project, Harafica Symphonic. Harafica comes from the South Moravian town of Uherské Hradiště, but the concert was broadcast via Facebook from the Ostrava House of Culture in the north of Moravia not only for Czech listeners but also for their American audiences on the occasion of the most important Christian holiday. Harafica was to perform at several venues in the United States last year, but the concerts had to be canceled due to the pandemic.
