Pavel Šporcl, Czech violinist will perform at the concert Unity for Ukraine organized by United Ukrainian Institute of America in cooperation with the Polish Cultural Institute New York and other members of the EUNIC New York cluster.
The concert Unity for Ukraine is special benefit featuring art and music from Europe is organized in support of the United Ukrainian American Relief Committee, Inc.
The program consists of the works of Isaac Albeniz, J. S. Bach, Johannes Brahms, Frederic Chopin, Viktor Kosenko, Bela Kovacs, Jules Massenet, Serhiy Prokofiev, Jan Sibelius, Pavel Šprocl, and Richard Strauss.
Pavel Šporcl (b. 1973) will perform his own version of the Czech national anthem "Kde Domov muj" (Where is my home) for solo violin.

Pavel Sporcl is considered one of the top Czech violinists. Sporcl, whose iconic blue violin was created by leading contemporary instrument maker Jan Spidlen, has done a great deal to popularise classical music in his country - having sold more than 230,000 CDs and frequently appeared on television, including his recent documentary series on the great Czech violinists of yesteryear, and his regular top-rated program introducing children to music.
Sporcl regularly performs internationally, in recent years including London's Cadogan Hall with the English Symphony Orchestra ("This may just be the finest account of Mendelsohn's E minor Concerto that I have heard" - Musical Opinion), a sell-out concerts in Japan festivals in Europe and tours of the US.
