From March 3–8, The New Colossus Festival returns to the Lower East Side for its 7th edition, transforming ten independent venues into a six-day showcase of over 180 emerging artists from around the world. Representing the Czech music scene this year, Iggy Mayerov will appear twice during the festival, unveiling songs from their upcoming album, slated for release in fall 2026 and produced by Lazer Viking.

Blending reverb-soaked guitars, striking synthesizers, and a propulsive drum-machine backbone, Iggy Mayerov craft songs that linger—both sonically and emotionally. Their lyrics explore the transience of relationships, experiences of loss, and the slow, often fragile process of self-recognition. The band first gained wider attention with their debut album Millennial Cliché (2022), followed by the critically acclaimed EP Lovesick, which cemented their presence on the Central European indie scene.
Their latest single, Feels Like Yesterday, turns inward even further, opening a quiet but powerful reflection on death, grief, and acceptance, and signaling a new, more mature chapter in the band’s work. After more than one hundred concerts across the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Germany, Iggy Mayerov now bring this evolving sound to New York—appearing at a festival celebrated for discovering tomorrow’s voices in global music.
