Nominated for this year’s Theatre Critics’ Awards for Best Play, Ophelia Onlyfans offers a sharp and provocative reinterpretation of Shakespeare’s world. In this contemporary version, intimacy becomes public and personal transgressions carry political and familial consequences. The play explores the intersection of desire, shame, and power, placing Ophelia at the center of a narrative that is both ironic and urgent.
The staged reading is presented in English translation by Eva Daničková and directed by Patrice Miller. Featuring Yael Haskal, Simon Henriques, Nalina Mann, and Gavin Stewart.
Presented in collaboration with the Václav Havel Center as part of the annual Rehearsal for Truth Theater Festival honoring the legacy of Václav Havel, with support from the Czechoslovak Society of Arts and Sciences in New York.

Tomáš Ráliš (b. 1997, Kadaň) is a Czech playwright and director and a graduate of DAMU. In March 2026, he received the Theatre Critics’ Award in the category Best First Produced Czech Play of 2025 for Slučitelné díly, staged at Klicpera Theatre in Hradec Králové (premieres January 24 and 25, 2025, Studio Beseda; directed by the author). The production of Ophelia OnlyFans (premiere June 7, 2025, Komedie Theatre) was nominated in the same category.
Ráliš is a three-time first-place recipient of the Evald Schorm Award for original plays (Sorex / 20/21 / The Consumption of Species; 2020–2022) and was named Talent of the Year 2023 in the Theatre Critics’ Awards (as both director and playwright). His radio play Sleduj! received 3rd Prize in the Drama category at Prix Bohemia Radio 2023, along with the Student Award.
