Don't forget to visit the Dvořák Room, dedicated to Czech composer Antonín Dvořák, courtesy of the Dvořák American Heritage Association (DAHA).

The five-story building, designed by William C. Frohne in the Renaissance Revival style, was constructed in 1896 and stands as a rare remnant of the numerous social halls established in the nineteenth century for New York City's immigrant communities.

For over a century, Bohemian National Hall has served as a vital center for Czech culture in New York City. From its inception, it has been a gathering place for the community, offering traditional Czech cuisine, language and history classes, and event space for various gatherings. Today, it remains a significant testament to the vibrant working-class ethnic enclave that once thrived in Yorkville.

In 2001, ownership of Bohemian National Hall was transferred from the Bohemian Benevolent & Literary Association (BBLA) to the Czech Republic. To highlight this connection, the building now houses the Consulate General of the Czech Republic and the Czech Center New York.
