This year’s rooftop cinema series revisits the 1990s in Czechoslovakia and Czechia — a time when freedom seemed to have no limits. A coming-of-age moment for both individuals and a country, the decade saw the rise of cult classics like “The Ride”, “The Idiot Returns”, “Buttoners”, “The Smoke”, "The Garden"… and more.

František has never experienced anything real or meaningful. He has spent his adult life behind the walls of an institution, so now everything feels like a first impression. He returns to the only people he can call family—though they had no idea he even existed. They have their own lives and relationships—so tangled and complicated that František gets caught in them like a fly in a web.
He finds himself in awkward, comical, and suffocating situations, witnessing relationship shake-ups, romantic collisions, and emotional explosions among his loved ones. He feels for everyone, and everything touches him deeply. He understands them better than they understand themselves. But only someone who understands him can help him truly return. // Watch the trailer
