Mannes Sounds Festival has been presenting the talented young artists of Mannes and the College of Performing Arts of The New School at many prestigious concert venues and cultural institutions in New York.
The November 30th concert is another exciting collaboration between The Mannes School of Music, Consulate General of the Czech Republic in New York, and the Czech Center NY.
This concert is a part of series of events, organized by Czech Center NY, observing the 80th anniversary since the arrival of the great Czech composer Bohuslav Martinu in New York. Since Martinu taught at Mannes School of Music for eight years, from 1948 until 1956, this is a particularly special and meaningful evening for our musicians.
