Alžběta Bačíková and David Přílučík will present four audiovisual works from the production of the international art platform Artyčok.TV. The program will include short films created as part of the Regeneration project, which focuses on environmental issues and decolonization. The selection is further connected by themes of sharing, representation, and care for public space, whether in a physical or figurative sense, as well as the motif of experiencing bodily presence in relation to both natural and urban landscapes.
Artyčok.TV is an editorial collective formed within the art environment. Its focus is on contemporary art and its critical potential in the context of current social issues. The collective engages in artistic and interdisciplinary research and supports the creation of artistic audiovisual works and documentaries, and further documents happenings in the art scene.
The core of the collective’s work is the website www.artycok.tv. They invite both established and emerging artists to create programs and other activities. Their goal is to make content accessible to all audiences. In collaboration with other art institutions and entities, they also organize offline events, including screenings, discussions, and workshops.

Nikola Brabcová and Karin Šrubařová – Recordings of the Surface (2024) presents a non-linear narrative contemplating soil and the ability of the surface to preserve the memory of the animate. /video essay, 17 min/
Jiří Žák and Matěj Pavlík – Hopeful Visitors and Grieving Guides - Notes from the Travel Notebook of a Dark Tourist (2024) explores dark tourism as the fascination with visiting places associated with tragic events. /video, 13 min/
ALŽBĚTA BAČÍKOVÁ Alžběta Bačíková (*1988) is an artist based in Prague. She focuses on the medium of the moving image and works primarily with video installation in the context of contemporary art and experimental cinema. In recent years, Bačíková has reflected on documentary tendencies in contemporary art both in theoretical research and in her artistic practice. She has created a series of video portraits of real and fictional characters. In 2018 she completed her PhD studies at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Brno. From 2017 to 2020 she was curator of the Etc. Gallery project in Prague. Currently, she works as an editor for the online platform Artycok.TV. Since 2018 she has collaborated with protagonists with visual or hearing impairments, which led to the production of Encounter (2018-2020), which won the 2018 Czech Centers Award at the Jindřich Chalupecký Award. Together with deaf actor Mac Henzl, she also created a film project entitled DJ (2020) for the exhibition Hotel Beethoven at the BOZAR Fine Arts Centre. She was a resident of the Art in General program in New York (2019) and the Artist-in-Residence program at MuseumsQuartier in Vienna (2018). She is currently developing her new film Can't Arrest a Movement during her artist residency at the Czech Center New York. The central motif of this project is the transformative potential of movement and various performative activities. A similar theme appears in her previous audiovisual work Shine Your Light on Me (2021), which reflects on moments of protest and collective dance activities in New York City in 2019. DAVID PŘÍLUČÍK The artworks of David Přílučík (*1991) explore post-natural conditions and reflect the imagination and rationality of modernity. In his works, Přílučík connects human and non-human subjects through various aesthetic media such as moving images, installations, objects, and live events.
He collaborates with Artyčok.TV and completed an internship at TLTRPreß. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague and the Dutch Art Institute. His current project, Divoká Šárka, in collaboration with Ruta Putramentaite and Sára Märc, deals with the concept of nature reserves.
Přílučík has exhibited his works in numerous galleries and institutions in the Czech Republic and abroad, including the Q21 artist residency program at MuseumsQuartier Vienna and Residency Unlimited in New York. His work Blind Bidding won the main prize in the Other Visions section at the PAF 2017 festival, and in 2022, he became a co-laureate of the Jindřich Chalupecký Award.
